Look toward a nearby person: a small marker above them shows your focus. Move close and get behind them. The prompt explains what you need to do before you can lift. Hold ELIFT when ready; that person stays selected until you release or lose access. The longer you hold, the better the prize.
Every mark twitches at intervals. When they do you have a short window to let go. Release inside it and you bank the prize. Release outside it, or keep holding through it, and you are made.
Hold altTap the walk icon to walk at their pace so you can follow one without closing too fast.
The window shrinks as heat rises, and tells come faster. Heat rises when you sprint near people, when you bolt straight after a lift, and every time you are made. It falls fastest when you stand still in a crowd. Some marks are simply harder: the iaia, the latero and a rival carterista have the tightest windows in the game.
Being made is not the end — it spikes heat. Heat is what brings the Mossos: one at first, up to five as it climbs. If one reaches you they take 60% of what you are carrying. Outrun them (shiftthe run icon) or put distance and corners between you until they give up.
Cash on you is at risk. Walk it to the flat (the green marker) and press Gtap Bank — banked money cannot be taken. Spend it there on Hands, Nerve and Shoes with 1 2 3, tapping the row you want, which is how the hard marks become possible.
Open the neighborhood map with M, scroll to zoom and drag to pan. Clickfrom the button top left, pinch to zoom and drag to pan. Tap to mark a route. Shaded streets are outside the neighborhood; construction hoardings close those exits. Reach your destination on foot or by moped.
